Scott David Pierce

Scott "Scoots" David Pierce, who was born in Des Moines, IA on July 14, 1968, passed away at the age of 48 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA on June 8, 2017. Scott graduated from Adel DeSoto High School in 1987. Scott was a talented finish carpenter. He had a green thumb that could be seen through his flower gardens and indoor plants. He loved all animals, music of all genres, grilling out and everything to do with motorcylces and automobiles. Scott adored children and was known by "Uncle Scoots" to many. He will be remembered for all of the nicknames he came up with and gave to his friends and family. Scott is survived by his father Jerry (Lora) Pierce of Adel; mother Christal Pierce of Adel; siblings Connie (Brant) Kaufman of Granger, Brad (Tammy) Pierce of Adel, Hailee (Will Alexander) Pierce of Urbandale and Kacey Pierce of Adel; nieces Mallory Pierce and Regan and Quinn Kaufman; nephews Roman and Raiden Alexander; great-niece Maizie Pierce and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Scott was proceeded in death by his grandparents Donald and Opal Pierce and Bill and Dorothy Broyles and nephew Justin Pierce. Visitation will be held Thurday, June 15, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. and memorial services will be held Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., both at Panther Creek Brethren Church, 24529 J Avenue, Adel, Iowa 50003. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Scott Pierce Family to assist with final expenses.
