John Allen Keirsey, a loving father and devoted husband, passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2025, surrounded by his beloved wife, Kara, and their children Kaitlyn and Mitchell. Born on December 20, 1967, in St. Louis, Missouri, John lived a life marked by dedication, love, and unwavering commitment to those he cherished.

As a proud Army Reserve Veteran, John embodied the spirit of service and responsibility not only in his military career but also in his professional life as a Risk Analyst for a financial institution. Colleagues and clients alike admired his analytical prowess and his integrity, traits that defined his career and earned him deep respect within the industry.

John’s happiest moments were often spent in the warm embrace of family. An avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, he thrived on the excitement of ball games, sharing laughter and joy with his loved ones. He loved hitting the links and could be found golfing many rounds over the years. His passion for cooking and grilling brought friends and family together, as he enjoyed creating delicious meals and unforgettable memories. John had a special love for the beach and sunshine; his happy place was Jamaica, where he chose to have his cremated remains scattered, a final tribute to the paradise he adored.

Among his proudest accomplishments was marrying the love of his life, Kara Graham, on July 25, 1992, in Des Moines, Iowa. Their bond was a testament to true partnership, filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love. John and Kara created a nurturing home in Waukee, Iowa, where they raised their two wonderful children.

Surviving John are his beloved wife, Kara Keirsey of Waukee, his devoted daughter, Kaitlyn Keirsey of Kansas City, Missouri, and his cherished son, Mitchell Keirsey of Waukee. He is also survived by his parents Don and Jo Ann Keirsey along with many friends who admired his generous spirit and uplifting presence. He is preceded in death by his sister, Kelly Eberhardt.

As we remember John Allen Keirsey, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and the bonds that can never be broken. His remarkable spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of his family and friends, reminding us all of the importance of love and connection in our lives.
