JoeAnn House, who was born on April 3, 1929 in Gleason, TN, passed away on November 21, 2017 in Des Moines, IA. Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.; with funeral services being held Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m., both at Ernst Funeral Home of Waukee, IA.
JoeAnn married the love of her life Clarence House on December 1, 1945 in St. Louis, MO. Together they lived in St. Louis most of their lives until moving to Waukee to be closer to family. She retired as an Inventory Clerk from Ramsey. Although never attending college, JoeAnn was especially proud of being the only person in the Ramsey office to pass the college course they all attended. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking and traveling and was a shrewd investor. JoeAnn lived for her family and cherished every moment with them.
JoeAnn is survived by her husband Clarence; daughter Karen (Kent) Harshbarger; granddaughter Kristi Harshbarger (Dan Reis); great-grandchildren Emerson and Margot Reis and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Nell Bradley; sisters Helen (John) Sexton, Ann (Gus) Probst, Louise Beck, and Macy (Jr) Smith.
