Donna M. Mccormick

Donna M. McCormick, who was born in southern Iowa on January 1, 1936 to Harry and Grace (Foreman) Lingle, passed away on July 19, 2016 at Arbor Springs of West Des Moines in West Des Moines, Iowa. She was 80. Donna graduated from Osceola High School. On August 8, 1954 she married the love of her life, Ronald McCormick. Donna stayed busy raising and running around her five children. She enjoyed writing to her many pen pals around the country. Donna loved showing off her creative side by making cards, crafts and scrap booking. She had a green thumb that could be seen by her beautiful hydrangeas and other flowers around her home. Donna enjoyed traveling with her husband. A few of her special trips were to Hawaii and an Alaskan Cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary. She also enjoyed classical music and Elvis Presley. She loved and cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. Donna is survived by her husband Ron of West Des Moines; children Gary McCormick of Waukee, IA, Rick McCormick of Dallas, TX, Lori (Mike) Behre of West Des Moines, IA, Shari McCormick of Indianapolis, IN and Randy (Judy) McCormick of Urbana, IA and grandchildren Grace and Richard Behre. She was preceded in death by her parents. A visitation gathering will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Ernst Funeral Home, Waukee, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
