Dennis Keith Hildreth, known to many as Denny, peacefully departed this life in Adel, Iowa on December 14, 2023. He was born on December 25, 1939, in the small town of Perry, Iowa. Denny leaves behind a legacy of dedication, selflessness, and love that will be cherished by all who knew him.

For over four decades, Denny dedicated his working life to Economy Forms - EFCO. His strong work ethic and values were not only evident in his professional achievements but also passed down to his children. In fact, during the holiday season, he even took on additional employment to ensure that his children would always have the best Christmas. His commitment and perseverance were an inspiration to all.

Beyond his career accomplishments, Denny will be fondly remembered for the many precious memories he shared with his loved ones. He was affectionately known as Papa to his adored grandchildren. Their presence brought immense joy to his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

Animals held a special place in Denny's heart. His deep love for them was apparent in his unwavering bond with his dog Molly and his beloved horses Opie and Randy and admiring birds, especially chickadees. Denny also had a passion for coaching softball and actively participating in Boy Scouts. He embraced these opportunities to mentor young individuals and contribute positively to their lives.

Denny possessed a humble nature that endeared him to everyone he encountered. Despite numerous talents and accomplishments, he never sought recognition or credit for himself. Instead, he generously gave of himself without hesitation or expectation of anything in return. This incredible generosity and kindness earned him respect and appreciation from all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to being an exceptional individual, Denny had a wide range of interests that enriched his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting—earning the nickname "dead-eye" for his exceptional shooting skills—and fishing alongside his beloved wife Connie. Horseback riding, canoeing and camping also held a special place in his heart. Furthermore, Denny had a keen eye for photography and was always ready to capture special moments with his talented lens.  Get-togethers with Denny always involved competitive and exciting games of Pitch and Oh Hell around the family table.

Dennis married the love of his life Connie on July 5, 1992, and together they loved and supported their five children without limits.  One of Denny's proudest accomplishments was the genuine and unconditional love he had for his children. He is survived by his loving wife; children Sheri (Ray) Gavin, Laurie (Tony) Ellis, Dennis (Julie) Hildreth, Alison (Keith) Collette and Diane (Joe) Pals; grandchildren
Ryan, Charity, Shawna, Shelli, Taylor, Alexandria, Sara, Laura, Noah, Trace and Cicely; numerous great-grandchildren; sister Lenette (Kris) Miller and brother Steve (Laura) Hildreth.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby brother, Elmo Clifford.
